The University of Mary is a private, Catholic university that was founded in 1955. They place a lot of importance on growing students both spiritually and academically. They also emphasize servant-leadership and giving back to their community.

The school strives to be a center for fitness education in North Dakota. They place equal emphasis on theory and practical application. Students have the option of pursing both a three and four year track for graduation. The three-year track involves taking an extra 1 - 2 credit hours per semester.

Program Endorsement

The University of Mary Exercise Science program is endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Endorsement status was first achieved in 2003.
